OnePlus has teased the launch of their upcoming smartphone titled OnePlus X aka OnePlus Mini on October 29 in India. The company will also hold events in London, Beijing, and Jakarta among others.
The company posted the news on its Facebook and Twitter India pages along with the tagline, “See you on October 29, India.” The teaser shows an image of a large ‘X, indicating that the device might be named ‘OnePlus X’.

The company also posted the news on its Chinese website and stated that it would start taking reservations for attendees for the event on October 29, which is scheduled to begin at 4:30PM IST.

According to a report by Android Headlines, the smartphone was recently certified in China as the OnePlus E1001. According to the report, the device would run Oxygen OS, and will sport IP67 certification for water and dust resistance. The device is expected to be priced around $250.
The report adds that “during the China certification, the unknown device came with the model number E1001 and this is the same model number, which has now been spotted on the FCC listings, further fuelling the notion that this is actually the OnePlus X.”
From reports in the past, we now know that the device is expected to have a MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795T) SoC, 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 5-inch IPS display covered in 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 or 4, 32 GB of eMMC 5.0 storage expandable via microSDXC and a 3,000-3,100 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery.
Also expected is a USB Type-C connector with Quick Charge 2.0 capabilities, FM radio, a MT6630 wireless SoC, Bluetooth 4.1, an IR Blaster, a 1.2W front-facing speaker, and an NFC chip that supports Android Pay.
