Registrations for the ‘unhackable, unbreakable’ Turing Phone are now open

The recently unveiled ‘Turing Phone‘, which aims to be unhackable, unbreakable, and waterproof, can now be reserved via the company’s website. Though, the device isn’t available for pre-orders and no details have been provided as to when the device will be available for purchase.


As of now, users can choose from the three color variants namely Beowulf, Pharaoh and Cardinal. It be available in 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage variants priced at $610 (approximately Rs 39,000), $740 (approximately Rs 47,300) and $870 (approximately Rs 55,700) respectively. Once the storage variant and color has been finalised, one needs to fill out their contact details to reserve the smartphone.


In terms of specifications, the smartphone sports a 5.5-inch screen and is made out of a material called liquidmorphium that is stronger than steel or aluminium. The phone is also said to be exceptionally waterproof thanks to its nano-coating on the internals. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1.1 with Turing Aemaeth UI.


It is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor paired with 3GB RAM. It sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash along with an 8MP front facing camera. In terms of other specifications, the smartphone includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0 LE; NFC; GPS/Glonass. It is backed up by a non-removable 3,000mAh battery.
