Xiaomi : And its series of launch!



Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 2 that kept popping its head now and then is finally official. Successor to the popular Redmi Note, the specs seem to be in line with the rumour mill.

The all-new Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display. It is powered by MediaTek’s latest MT6795 Helio X10 SoC, octa-core Cortex A53 clocked at 2.2GHz, coupled with 2GB of RAM.


On the camera front, expect a 13-megapixel rear snapper and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The device runs the company’s newest MIUI 7 that is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The device is now lighter than its predecessor at 160 grams and measures 152mm x 76mm x 8.25mm. It is fuelled by a 3,020 mAh battery.

The dual-SIM handset supports 4G and comes with 16GB storage onboard. Besides, the company also has 32GB variant that is named Redmi Note 2 Prime.

The 16GB version will be made available in two variants – 4G on both SIMs and 4G-3G combination – priced at 899 Yuan (approx. Rs 9,200) and 799 Yuan (approx. Rs 8,200) respectively. The 32GB variant is priced at 999 Yuan (approx Rs 10,200).

Following the launch of Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 and Note 2 Prime, the Chinese handset maker has launched compact wireless router, dubbed as Mi Wi-Fi Nano in the market. This router is so compact that it will fits into the pocket easily and weighs around 100grams.


This compact router comes with Smart Mi smartphone app to access router settings or view the status along with LED indicators. This device comes with the micro USB port, which can be used to charge the router also, the company claims that, with 10,000mAh power bank, the router can be charged up to 30 times.


Moreover, this device comes with MediaTek MT7628N chip along with 64MB DDR2 RAM and 16GB of internal storage on board. Additionally, it comes equipped with External PCB antenna, WiFi 802.11b / g / n 2.4GHz.


The Xiaomi Mi Wi-Fi Nano wireless router comes in Mint Green, Lemon Yellow, Sky Blue, Pure White, Deep Black, Baby Pink colors and carries a price tag of 79 yuan (approx Rs. 805). It will be available in the market starting from August 13th.

With a set of launches Xiaomi has really made an impact on the tech market in India.
