Housing.com hacked; Rahul Yadav says not involved but ‘would have designed it better’

Housing.com seems to have been hacked earlier today. If one goes by the recent history with Housing, it could also be a prank! A custom 404 or 503 error page that someone wants the world to consider as a hack? Well, given the recent spurt of news updates, we wonder if this is something we pay close attention to.

In response to the hacking/prank on Housing.com, Rahul Yadav has clarified on Facebook of not being involved in the incident. However, known for his witty responses, he did mention how he ‘would have designed it better.’

I would have DESIGNED it better. #NotInvolved #LoveYouTechTeam

May be there’s a 50-50 chance this was a hack. May be someone’s playing around with the database of Housing.com. I can’t help, but wonder who’s behind some mischief with Housing.com? He is, after all, the most popular source of news for Housing.com. Could it be Rahul Yadav? No one really knows as of now.

Well, in the past, Yadav has managed to troll prominent individuals such as Zomato’s Deepinder Goyal and Infosys’ Vishal Sikka. He’s created memes, and done what could possibly be done in the IT industry. And get away with it (till he was let go). Only, it’s probably not considered to be in good taste by most people around. If that wasn’t enough, he trolled the whole world at large by tricking media houses when asked whether Quikr was buying Housing.com.

After displaying the page above, the home page was back up for a brief while. However, when I last checked, it had continued to display the image above. Even after the exit of Rahul Yadav from Housing.com, it still continues to stay in the news. Lets wait for an update from Housing.com...
